        An Empirical Study on Measurement for Structure of Mental Models of Undergraduate Students Using China's Comprehensive Academic Databases

        This study explored the measurement to structure of undergraduate students' mental models to china comprehensive academic database,using questionnaire method,exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor.Study results are as follow:Firstly,this study found the conceptual model of undergraduate students' mental models to china comprehensive academic databases.This model includes user motivation cognitive,user reach cognitive,database general knowledge cognitive,database content cognitive,interface capabilities cognitive,user positive emotions,user negative emotions and user search strategy eight structures variables and corresponding with 28 observational variables.Secondly,the relationship between undergraduate students' cognition,emotion and search strategy is a kind of multiple interactions form,rather than a progressive form.Thirdly,users' positive emotions come from the learning experience of academic database,and users* negative emotions come from the experience of academic database interface function.The results of this study are of valuable in terms of providing guidance for user study and optimization design of academic database.
